🎯 Syllabus outcome The section covers one of the syllabus’s intended learning outcomes: explaining Bayesian vs frequentist probability and inference; the role of prior, likelihood and posterior through conjugate priors; convergence of MCMC and causes of failure; fitting a model and assessing convergence; summarising estimands from the joint posterior; specifying posterior predictive checks; discussing subjectivity.
